About Tomcat Cleaning Equipment

Tomcat is the brand name of commercial cleaning equipment built by R.P.S. Corporation, a Wisconsin corporation established in 1986. Our headquarters are in Racine, Wisconsin.

At present, we manufacture about thirty models, including several sizes of walk behind & rider scrubbers, sweepers & burnishers. Our goal is an all-star line of machines, so we make fewer models than some of the firms we compete with, but we put more effort into each of them.

Our products fit a niche we pretty much invented: high-performance, compact, yet tough, units for commercial cleaning. Historically, each of our models had come to enjoy a position of No. 1 or No. 2 in most of the markets we serve within a year of introduction to the marketplace.

On the design front, we take extra pains to remove non-essential parts, so that our machines are mechanically simpler than others. This simplicity permits us to use better materials throughout, while often offering better prices than competition can achieve. At the same time, state of the art control systems and the use of servos make our machines more automatic and perform better than others.

On the manufacturing front, we cut and bend fabricated parts using latest-generation numerically-controlled machinery. Our fit and finish standards set the pace for the industry. We enjoy economies of scale, relative to our industry, by making fewer models, and selling more examples of each of them than is the norm. We also are better than others at using common parts and platforms across our line.

Tomcat machines are all manufactured by us at our plant in Racine, Wisconsin, USA. We do not "private label" machines from other manufacturers. Our machines are sold through some 200 North American dealer locations. We are also sold in Europe, Asia and Latin America
